Stem is a science-based social and interactive event that showcases the craft behind brewing. Guests at this event will have the opportunity to learn directly from local winemakers and test samples. Stem is a great community event that supports the Pacific Science Center and local vineyards in Washington state.Whether you’re a science-loving wine novice or consider yourself more of a connoisseur, we invite you to unleash your inner sommelier under the arches at Pacific Science Center.
For the fourth year in a row, Locus Wines’ one and only Rich Burton is going to impart wine wisdom or should we say, divulge wine science secrets at Stem Tasting Event taking place on Friday evening, from 7PM to 10PM on May 17th at the Pacific Science Center in lower Queen Anne, Seattle.
Tickets are $50 per person ($45 if you are a member of Pacific Science Center). To buy tickets and learn more of what is to come, please visit the event site at STEM Ticket Page.
Come join Bottlehouse’s month-long program to support local winemakers during the month of March. As they called it, “curated tastings from Washington’s best every Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.” The wines will be there for tasting as well as glass pours and retail specials.
Bottlehouse, a wine bar in the Madrona neighborhood in Seattle, is especially near and dear to our hearts, since they were early supporters of Locus Wines. They have featured many Locus offerings by the glass and had our rose, Modo red as well as a special red that we had produced only for our keg program (Locus Tank #2) on tap. Not only that, when the Bottlehouse family expanded with Mr. West (downtown Seattle and soon in University Village mall), they featured Locus Wines in some of the new establishments as well.
Footprint Wine Tap is featuring Locus Wines for the entire month of December in 2018 with not one, but two Locus Wines, all on tap: Locus Rosé and Locus Tank #3 Red Blend. They call the December feature, ‘dreamy December’ and we won’t argue with that. Both wines are from trio of our favorite grapes: Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault. You all know the Rosé but the 2016 Locus Tank #3 is new: It is a keg-only red wine we made. It is so good that now we wish we didn’t keg them all.
Footprint Wine Tap is Seattle’s first wine bar that prioritizes sustainability and locality – all wines presented are from responsibly sourced grapes, by wineries that have exemplary business practices and all wines are Pacific Northwest wines. They also carry ciders, meads, cold brew coffee and sake. Located on Madison, between 12th and 13th Streets, Footprint Wine Tap is a refreshingly new concept in a very crowded and getting a bit all-too-same Capitol Hill food and beverage scene.
There is wine and drinks but there is also food: You will find lots of small plates for nibbles, a nice salad if you want more and a few desserts to go with the sweeter wines. Footprint Wine Tap opens at 2PM Monday through Friday, and then at noon on the weekends.
Another month and another day for us to invade Barrique Wines (a retail wine shop and event space, owned by our distributor Barrique Imports) and turn it in to the Locus Wines tasting room. This happens every first Saturday of each month but this month, we are holding it on a Sunday.
