Locus Fall Party: Saturday, November 12th, 2-7PM

Time for a wine tasting party. Again.

It’s been almost 4 months since the last one and it is about time. Come join us on Saturday, November 12th, 2016, from 2-7PM at 1515 Madrona Drive, Seattle, WA 98122 to welcome the 2014 Locus Red, our Rhône blend to the Locus portfolio.

The new vintage is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre and as those of you at the summer party who got to preview it last July can attest, it is even better than our well-received 2013 Locus Red (91 points from Wine Spectator, Gold from SF Chronicle and Best of Show in Minnesota Food & Wine Experience). As always, we will pair the wines with creative bites from our resident culinary professional Ton Yazici’s new catering venture, ESCA.

What are we drinking, you ask? The following, and knowing us a few more probably:

  • 2015 Locus Rosé (yeah, the summer is gone but Thanksgiving is near)
  • 2014 Locus Modo
  • 2015 Locus Garage Series Red Blend – NEW, FALL EVENT ONLY
  • 2015 Locus – SURPRISE Red (well, guess not a surprise anymore) – NEW
  • 2014 Locus Red, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre blend – NEW
  • 2013 Locus Syrah, Keller Vineyards
  • 2014 Locus Rosé Sangria – yes, we are ending with dessert this time

If you have purchased 2014 Locus Red futures at the summer party, this is the time to collect it. Please RSVP on Facebook (if replying for multiple guests or do not have access to Facebook, just post a comment on the event, with number of guests). If you have questions, give us a shout at info@locuswines.com

La Conner, WA: Hellams Vineyard Welcomes Locus

HellamsHellams Vineyard, La Conner’s premium location for wine, spirits and beer since 2004, has included Locus Wines in its selection. They have quite a bit of the 2013 Locus Stonetree Vineyard Syrah up there now. In addition to a great wine selection, they offer a great website with lots of cool pictures (of food and wine mostly. The kind we like). Hellams Vineyard is on North 1st St. in La Conner (109 North 1st St., Suite 101 in La Conner, WA 98257 to be more specific) and in addition to selling wine, they also have a wine club and frequent winemaker dinners.

Locus Wines Now Available at St. Clouds Restaurant

home_stc2The ‘firsts’ continue. Locus Wines’ 2013 Dineen Vineyard Semillon is now on the wine list at St. Clouds, the ‘contemporary comfort food’ center of Madrona universe, in Seattle, WA. St. Clouds was actually where Locus Wines officially released its inaugural wines back in July 2014. Check out St Clouds website to learn more about the restaurant or simply make a reservation.

Inaugural Release Party

We are officially launching Locus Wines at the end of July. In fact, we are throwing a tasting party to do so.

Saturday, July 26
2pm – 5pm

Where?
St. Clouds Food and Spirits
1131 34th Ave
Seattle, WA 98122

We will taste three wines and we’re pretty proud of them. First up is a 100% Sémillon from Dineen Vineyard in Prosser. We’ll follow that with a Rosé of Cinsault and Mourvèdre from two different vineyards in Yakima Valley. Finally, we’ll try the 2012 Stonetree Syrah, born and bred in the Wahluke Slope AVA near Mattawa, Washington.

We will pair each wine with delicious bites imagined by our resident chef Ton, future graduate of Seattle Culinary Academy. After the event, we recommend that you check out some of the great restaurants in the Madrona neighborhood, starting with the host venue, St Clouds. Other options within walking distance include Bistro Turkuaz, Red Cow, BottleHouse, Madrona Ale House, Naam Thai, Pritty Boys Pizza, and Café Soleil.

Click here to register and let us know if you’ll be able to join us. If you can’t make it, no need to respond. Just promise to come try our wines another time!
