2013 Locus Semillon SOLD OUT

IMG_6571Yes, it’s true. We are out of the 2013 Locus Dineen Vineyard Semillon (so is our distributor… Put the phone down). But don’t panic just yet. We think that there may still be some left out there… And oh, if you are willing to wait for a few months, the 2014 Dineen Vineyard Semillon should be available in March 2015.

We believe the following stores and restaurants still have some left:

  • Cone and Steiner: They have been selling the Semillon by the bucket. So, they probably have some still. Capitol Hill store only.
  • Local 360: They only recently started carrying the Semillon so chances are very high they still have it.
  • European Vine Selections: The Seattle landmark wine store got the last few cases we believe. You can accost them to give them up.
  • Leschi Mart: The ‘arguably one of the best wine stores in town’ neighborhood market had at least 4 bottles, last time we checked the shelves (Oh yes, we do that… We nonchalantly walk by our bottles and tidy them up, if they need it)
  • St Clouds: They received a case of it early last week. You probably have another week to catch the last of it.

A Seattle Wine Landmark, European Vine Selections adds Locus

lThe Wine Shop, also known as European Vine Selections on 15th Avenue added Locus to their collection of wines.

European Vine Selections is an owner-run collective with multiple members, each with a vast interest and thirst for wine. The shop was founded in 1972 when Napa Valley had barely begun its renaissance. The founders had to look to Europe to find sources of good quality wine. Since then, wine making has blossomed in California, Oregon, Washington, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and British Columbia. As the world of wine expanded, European Vine Selections followed looking for the best wine at the best price. And Locus just made the cut. Please visit the store and check out their selection. Not just for Locus Wines, but to support this Seattle landmark for wine history.

Locus Wines Tasting on Saturday, September 6th, 1-5PM at Cone & Steiner on Capitol Hill

CS-Header-Long-Right-2000wWe are pouring Locus Wines on Capitol Hill, at the thriving neighborhood market Cone & Steiner on Saturday, September 6th, from 1pm to 5pm.

Cone & Steiner already stocks the Semillon and Rosé on their shelves, but the 2012 Syrah will also make an appearance for the tasting. The winemaker himself is going to be there to chat about the grapes, the wines as well as the vineyards (with the occasional attempts at articulating what the heck he was thinking going into winemaking while maintaining full-time employment).

1pm – 5pm
