2017 Locus Rosé No More… 4 Cases Reserved for the July 28th Party

We officially ran out of the 2017 Locus Rosé this week. We are holding on to four cases so that those of you joining us at the Summer Party on Saturday, July 28th have the opportunity to buy some but commercially we are officially out.

This is great for us business-wise but also bittersweet. 2017 Locus Rosé was special: It won GOLD at the Seattle Wine Awards few months ago and it was a surprisingly crisp, well-balanced wine with complex fruit flavors, with a bone dry finish. Very Southern Rhone-like.

You can still find the 2017 Locus Rosé in a lot of restaurants and retailers in and around Seattle metropolitan area and Washington state:

Angelo’s – Burien
Auburn Wine and Caviar Co.
Bennett’s Mercer Island
Bordeaux Wine Bar Enumclaw

Purple Cafés, Meet the Moon and Others Choose 2017 Locus Rosé for Glass Pour

The Heavy Restaurant Group (HRG) has chosen the 2017 Locus Rosé as their Rosé glass pour across multiple properties they own in the Seattle metro area. You can find the Locus Rosé by the glass at all Purple Café locations (Seattle, Bellevue, Woodinville), Meet the Moon (Leschi), Thackeray (Freemont), Claret (Wallingford) and Lot No.3 (Bellevue). Excited and amazed does not begin to describe how we feel.

Spokane goes Locus (with 2017 Rosé and 2016 Modo Red)

Spokane has beat you all to it!

Spring Release Party – Usher in the new Rosé and 2016 Modo Red

Finding yourself exclaiming “Spring is finally here!” only to wake up the next morning to snow and ice?  We’d be lying if we said that hadn’t happened to us.  Well, we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands, Mother Nature be damned.  It’s time to officially usher in the sunshine and warmth with our annual Locus Spring Release Party!

Come join us on Saturday, April 21st from 2-6pm at 1515 Madrona Drive, Seattle, WA 98122 as we introduce the world to two new wines: the more-fragrant-than-it-has-a-right-to-be 2017 Locus Rosé and the 2016 Locus Modo Red – the Official Red Wine of Summer (we’re calling it now).  As always, we will also be pouring all current releases and our resident culinarian will be pairing each wine with a spring-inspired culinary treat. Here is the wine lineup for the tasting:

  • 2017 Locus Rosé – NEW (Grenache. Cinsault, Mourvédre blend)
  • 2016 Locus Rosé (Grenache. Cinsault, Mourvédre blend)
  • 2016 Locus Modo White
  • 2016 Locus Sémillon, Dineen Vineyards
  • 2016 Locus Modo Red – NEW
  • 2014 Locus Red (GSM blend)
  • 2015 Locus Nord (Syrah heavy blend, in Northern Rhone style)

PLEASE NOTE: we’re making two changes to the usual format.  There will be a check-in table at the start of your tasting experience at which we will check IDs (21 and over only, please).  We will also collect a $5 tasting fee per person.  Don’t worry, though, it will be refunded with any purchase.  Socius Wine Club members will have the fee waived.

Please RSVP on the Facebook page or send us an email at info@locuswines.com
